Good morning everyone! We are about 5 weeks away from the start of early voting. I was finally able to get a day off from the office and will be getting requested signs and swag out today, as well as doing sign maintenance around the county. If you see a sign that needs to be replaced, fixed, or weedeated, please let me know and I’ll get it taken care of. If you need a sign, please reach out and I will get one to you. I am extremely blessed with all the support I have!
This picture was shared after the storm came through on Tuesday.

Saturday at Good Ole Days was one for the books! Thanks to everyone that stopped by asking for signs, shirts, hats, wanted to get to know me, or show their support (especially the ones wearing their swag). I’m truly blessed! Here are just a few pics to share. If you have any pics from the jail prop, be sure to share them here or tag me in them 😁

Busy day on the square at the Good Ole Days! Thanks for coming out and seeing us. Governor Lee even stopped by for a bit to see the festivities and visit with people.

If you missed your opportunity to get your picture taken in ‘jail’, come on by tomorrow. I still have some swag, but I am already out of some of sizes. If I don’t have your size I’d be glad to get it on my next order. All kids (and adults) can stop by and get a badge sticker also. Hope to see y’all on Saturday! I also have FREE BOTTLED WATER at my booth! Just open a cooler and take what you need.

Come on out to the Good Ole Days on the square this weekend! I’ll be on the N Cannon Street side close to Woodbury Nutrition, Rustic Grounds, and Paul Reed Furniture. Look for my truck with my sign in the back. Come by to say hi, express your concerns for the county, or ask questions about how we do things. I will have signs, some swag, and FREE bottled water available. Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend!

As most know, the voting for the primary race is tomorrow. Most counties had early voting, but ours did not because we only have two candidates running as Republicans and both of those races are uncontested. One of those is the Sheriff race.

I have had people ask why I was running as an Independent with no political affiliation. I feel a Sheriff should not be attached to a political party.

As Sheriff, I will have to enforce ALL Constitutional laws whether they are made by Republicans or by Democrats. Sheriffs are not law makers, they are enforcers of the laws no matter who introduced and/or passed them. Sheriffs should not show favoritism to one side or the other, as the Sheriff should be a neutral party that treats everyone the same. As your Independent Sheriff candidate of Cannon County, I pledge to treat everyone fairly and equally if elected.

I’ll be on the ballot August 6th in the General Election.

Pretty nice day for the 2nd annual 1LT Frank Walkup IV Memorial Ride, aside from a couple of small showers along the route. Lots of stuff to do on the square before, during, and after. The bands were great and so was the food.

Baked goods from multiple vendors for snacks, lemonade, ice cream, and then lunch from DJ's Pizza & Steak House of Woodbury. Try the smoked bologna sandwich if you get the chance!
Eleanor’s favorite was ice cream from Twisted Kone.

Thanks to Andy, John, Cindi, Dixie, and everyone else that dedicate their time to this cause throughout the year, not just on the day of the ride. Looking forward to next year!

Looking for something to do tomorrow, April 18th?

The 2nd Annual Frank Walkup IV Memorial Ride is a great cruise no matter how many wheels you have! I’ll be on 4. Registration starts at 10am and the ride starts at 11am. I have the route posted below. After the ride they will have a live band and lots of cool stuff in raffles, door prizes, and silent auctions as well as food vendors. This will be my second year participating in and as a sponsor with this event.

The Cannon County Saddle club will be having a show at the JMP Arena beginning at 6pm, participants can start signing up at 5pm.

Event fliers are posted below.
