Congratulations to our students who competed at the Alabama State Invention Convention at Auburn University! 💡🎉

Over twenty ACS students advanced from local and regional competitions to represent our district at the state level — an incredible accomplishment! We are especially proud of our Yarbrough students and honored to have them represent our school with such creativity, innovation, and hard work.

Last week we welcomed the amazing 2nd graders from Woodland Pines. From touring the school and learning our school chant to getting a glimpse of what it’s like to be a Raptor, these future 3rd graders jumped right into the fun and spirit of our nest. We loved sharing what makes Yarbrough so special and can’t wait to officially welcome them next year. The future is bright for our growing Raptor family! 🪺✨

Yearbooks are here and they are FULL of nest spirit! We will have our yearbook “signing day” on May 8th and yearbooks will be distributed that morning.

If your ordered one previously, they will be delivered to your child’s homeroom. You can check to see if you ordered one by searching “Jostens” in your email for the confirmation email. Contact Jessica McMurray on ParentSqaure if you have issues.

If you need to order one, log in to MySchoolBucks to purchase a yearbook. They are first come, first served and we have a limited number of extras.

(Log in to MySchoolBucks, click on school store at the top right, scroll to the bottom. Click on “yearbook fees”). Once you have purchased, our yearbook advisor, Mrs. McMurray, will make sure your child’s teacher has it to distribute before the signing day.

📚 Support “If You Give a Child a Book” 📚

At the end of book fair season, Auburn Oil typically packs up and returns any unsold books. This year, however, they are doing something special!

Auburn Oil is sponsoring a program called “If You Give a Child a Book.” Through this initiative, donated funds will be used to provide books back to our schools—so students can receive them before summer break.

✨ How you can help:
• Make a donation in-store at Auburn Oil
• Or use the QR code provided on the attachment

Every contribution helps put books directly into the hands of students and encourages a love of reading all summer long!
