988 is the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline — connecting people with trained counselors during moments of emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or mental health/substance use crises.

The purpose of 988 Day is to:
✅ Raise awareness of the 988 Lifeline
✅ Reduce stigma around reaching out for help
✅ Emphasize the importance of mental health & su***de prevention
✅ Remind everyone that support is 24/7, free, and confidential

988 is more than just a number — it’s a lifeline.
