Auburn Neighborhood Watch

Auburn Neighborhood Watch Auburn New Hampshire Neighborhood Watch group.

We are a group of Auburn residents making our town a safer place to live through communication and community involvement. In September of 2011 the Auburn Police Commission and the Police Department re-started the local Neighborhood Watch program. The intent was to reduce the local crime rate by increasing communication between the police department and Auburn residents. As of January 2013, the Neighborhood Watch has grown to over 400 members and the crime rate in Auburn has been cut in half.

With bittersweet we are writing to say that we will be moving from Auburn in a week. We want everyone to know that this page will still remain active and a place for information and will be monitored by Melissa Gates as the administrator. Ken and Steve, the other ANW leaders, are still there for you to reach out to.

Jim and I want to take this moment to thank everyone who has liked, and followed and participated in the Auburn Neighborhood Watch Group and this page. You are all a very large part of the reason our town is the safe place it is to live and raise our children. We love Auburn and the amazing community of people who live here. We have lived in Auburn 42 years and watched this tiny town grow into a vibrant community; all the while still retaining that small town feel. We will miss you Auburn. Thank you all for helping keep Auburn Safe! Jim and Carol C.

Beware Phishing Emails
Phishing emails have been around for a long time but it's getting harder to tell them apart from the real emails you may get from the many online accounts you may have.

The attached email looks credible saying that my apple ID will be locked within 24 hours if I do not click on the link and update my billing information. No matter how credible these may look it's always a good Idea to do a little detective work when it comes to anyone asking for billing or account info. If you hover over the link in the email the address shows up like this:

https://s.yam.com/96nCn?yup=LQRQOAQUOI

Since there is no apple.com in the address, that's your first clue that it's not an apple link.

If you ever have any questions about emails like this, contact customer service at the associated company and ask. You may need to email or chat to get through, but it's worth the time.

Stay safe everyone.

All it takes is an internet search to reveal more information about you, such as family members, your real name, birthdate or even where you live."
