Today we celebrate and honor Shereen Androsko as she prepares for retirement after more than 21 years of dedicated service to Cayuga County.

Throughout her career, Shereen has served in several roles, including Typist, Human Services Examiner, Motor Vehicle Bureau Supervisor, and most recently Operations Officer. Her commitment, professionalism, and willingness to help others have made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the residents she has served.

Thank you, Shereen, for your years of hard work, leadership, and dedication to public service. We wish you all the best in your retirement and the exciting new chapter ahead!

We are proud to recognize Rebecca Allen, an Adult Protective Services (APS) caseworker, for her extraordinary actions and quick thinking.

While meeting with a client at the Auburn Inn, Rebecca was alerted to another individual who was unresponsive. Without hesitation, she stepped in and administered Narcan, successfully reviving the individual before first responders arrived. Her readiness to act in a critical moment made all the difference.

Rebecca’s compassion, professionalism, and willingness to go above and beyond truly embody the spirit of public service. Her actions saved a life, and we are grateful to have her as part of our team.
