A reminder to residents: Fireworks are illegal within Auburn city limits, except on reservation land where they are permitted under tribal regulations. 🚔

Help keep our community safe by celebrating responsibly and following local laws. If you choose to purchase fireworks, be aware of where they can and cannot be legally used. 🇺🇸

Northbound Auburn Way N is currently closed at S 277th Street due to a commercial vehicle rollover injury collision.

The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 1–2 hours. Please avoid the area and use alternate routes if possible.

Join us on June 5th for ! We are partnering with the Regional Office of Gun Violence Prevention for its 6th Annual Gun Lockbox Giveaway, held in collaboration with the Alliance for Gun Responsibility and the City of Auburn.

Brief remarks will be given at the start of the event, followed by the distribution of FREE handgun lockboxes (while supplies last).

The Auburn Police Department is providing notice of a personnel change within the organization.

Effective May 28, 2026, the employment of an Auburn Police Department officer who was arrested for felony immoral communication with a minor has been terminated. The decision was based on off-duty conduct that was investigated through the department’s internal investigation process.

Heads up, Auburn! The FIFA World Cup is coming to Seattle this summer, and while the matches are not happening here in Auburn, regional traffic may still be affected on game days.

Seattle will host six matches at Seattle Stadium/Lumen Field:

Monday, June 15 at noon: Belgium vs. Egypt
Friday, June 19 at noon: United States vs. Australia
Wednesday, June 24 at noon: Qatar vs. TBD
Friday, June 26 at 8 p.m.: Egypt vs. Iran
Wednesday, July 1 at 1 p.m.: Round of 32
Monday, July 6 at 5 p.m.: Round of 16

If you’re heading north, traveling through Seattle, using transit, or planning airport/downtown trips on these dates, give yourself extra time and check traffic before you go. The biggest local impacts are expected around Seattle, but major events can create ripple effects across the region -- especially during commute windows!

Plan ahead, travel safely and keep an eye on real-time traffic and transit updates before you head out.

The North American Motor Officers Association (NAMOA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting the education and training of motor officers across North America. Their annual conference brings together motor officers from across the United States and Canada for a week of training, networking, and professional development.

We’re proud of our officers for representing Auburn PD and continuing to sharpen their skills through advanced training and collaboration with agencies from across the continent.
