This is (was?) your Auburn Junior City Council btw 😌

This week we’re celebrating several members graduating and moving on to big and bright futures. Chair Lawand Muhsen is heading to Harvard, for example. 😌 We are so proud of these youth and are grateful for their dedication and contributions. Give it up for AJCC 2026 ❤️

🪾 Dry conditions continue across Washington 🌵

2026 marks the third consecutive year of drought declared by the Washington State Department of Ecology. But, Auburn customers can help by conserving water early, especially outdoors! Small actions now can help manage demand later in the season. During this time, you may see the City conducting routine system flushing, which is necessary to maintain water quality, and will be conducted efficiently.

The City will continue to monitor conditions and will provide updates as needed, including any additional measures if conditions change.

You can learn more about Washington's drougt response on the Department of Ecology's website: https://ecology.wa.gov/water-shorelines/water-supply/water-availability/statewide-conditions/drought-response
