For over 100 years, Camp Y-Owasco has been a place where young people discover nature, build friendships, and create memories that last a lifetime. Nestled along 2,800 feet of pristine Owasco Lake shoreline, Camp Y-Owasco is one of the last remaining day and resident camps on the lake, an irreplaceable treasure in the heart of the Finger Lakes.
Now, for the first time since the 1970s, we are investing in a full-scale revitalization of this beloved camp. Phase 1 of our capital campaign is already underway and includes:
📌Renovation of the camp kitchen and main lodge
📌Updates to the camp office and infirmary
📌Improvements to the archery range, art shed, and waterfront equipment

Did you know that our Leaders In Training (LITS) get to go on a 3 day, 2 night, off site camping trip?! 🥾⛺️

LIT is a 3 week program for campers entering 10th grade that is focused on team building and outdoor living skills to prepare for the LIT ONLY off site trip!! Every year, we’re told it’s the best camp memory that they’ve made so far. We hike, sleep in tents, cook over a fire, see some amazing views like waterfalls, and so much more!!🌲Make sure to register soon, as spots are filling up!!

Have you heard about our epic new program, Junior Leaders, for anyone entering 9th grade?! We heard it’s one of the coolest programs CYO has to offer and it’s already HALFWAY FULL for 2026!!! ☀️

🏕️Junior Leaders is a new program at Camp Y-Owasco designed to help start the leadership experiences at Camp a year sooner! It is one week of day camp followed by a week of resident camp ONLY for the campers in the program‼️

It is for campers entering 9th grade. A junior leader is a camper that is looking to gain leadership skills, participate in community service, and learn more about the behind the scenes to camp magic. Being a junior leader is the first step to making the transition from camper to staff and is much more than the typical camp experience. Junior leaders will receive many unique opportunities such as “shadowing” all the different positions at camp and see what responsibilities and tasks go into making camp run, creating a service project that will leave a lasting impact at camp, working together to develop a camp community within their peers, and so much more. Junior leadership is an opportunity to grow responsibility, how to work as a team, create lifelong friendships with their camp cohort, and have a summer experience unlike any other program offered at Camp Y-Owasco!

In-person registration will be held from 3:00 -7:00pm in the B Gym.
Register on this date, and we will waive the $25 registration fee for Camp Y- O.
