Acres of Hope is a spiritually based renewal center serving homeless women with children by providing them with a home and an environment of structured programming. Located in the beautiful Sierra Foothills, Acres of Hope’s unique approach allows residents to live onsite for up to two years while staff and volunteers invest heavily in their lives by providing encouragement, practical life-skills t

raining, job skills, mentoring and spiritual direction. Recidivism rates among the homeless are high and we want to reduce re-occurring homelessness through a balanced approach that addresses the needs of the whole person. A balanced approach looks at the spiritual, emotional and physical needs of our residents and includes a heart of acceptance with accountability, and extending grace with guidance. Without a balanced approach, it is only a matter of time before negative thought patterns and habits rise to the surface and reverse any progress made. As a result, we are committed to the healing process of each individual that will support their renewal process from the inside out.

At Acres of Hope, children are given the stability and support they need to thrive while their mothers work toward a brighter future. Every step forward—big or small—is a reminder of what's possible when hope, faith, and community come together.

Tonight, our hearts are full, as the lights glow across the Acres of Hope campus.

As Big Day of Giving nears a close, we want to thank every donor, volunteer, supporter, shopper, board member, prayer warrior, and friend who stood beside Acres of Hope today.

Because of this incredible community, we have raised $94,623 toward our $100,000 goal. We are overwhelmed with gratitude!

These cottages are more than buildings; they are where cycles are broken, and lives are changed.

Families arrive at Acres of Hope often from places of addiction, trauma, and hopelessness. For up to two years, they are given a safe place to rebuild. Moms do the hard work of recovery and restoration, creating a brighter future for their families. We are a hand-up, not a handout program—setting them up for long-term success after graduation.

Because of our caring community and belief in these families, this transformation is possible.

This month we will prepare two cottages to welcome new families to Acres of Hope.
Fresh sheets, clean towels, and a safe place to exhale.

While it may look like just a room, to a family arriving here, it means so much more; it means the chance for a new beginning.
