Auburn, NY - the annual Juneteenth celebration will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from Noon - 5pm at the Booker T. Washington Community Center on 23 Chapman Avenue. Please note a portion of Chapman Avenue will be closed to traffic between South Street and Quill Avenue during the morning and afternoon to make way for the event.

Thank you to the Juneteenth Celebration organizers and everyone at the Booker T. Washington Community Center for organizing such a big event. You won't want to miss all the local vendors, great food, incredible music, and the Miss Juneteenth crowning.

The Kids Zone has been expanded to include:
-Face Painting
-Caricatures
-Inflatable Obstacle Course
-9 Hole Mini Golf Course
-Soccer Darts
-Basketball Shootout

The City of Auburn is pleased to announce the 2026 Summer Concert Series schedule for Hoopes Park! All concerts are free and open to the public. Concerts take place from 6pm-8:30pm unless stated otherwise. Concerts begin on Tuesday, June 23rd and run until August 11th. August 18th and August 23rd will be reserved for any rain cancellations.

The lineup is as follows:

June 30......Infrared Radiation Orchestra
July 7..........Joe Whiting Band
July 14 ......Diana Jacobs Band

The 2026 Summer Rec for Children Program will begin for the 2026 summer season on June 30, 2026. We are so fortunate that several area businesses, organizations and foundations have stepped forward to assist with sponsorships of the events and activities. It is going to be a great summer thanks to the generous support we have received.

Summer Rec is just 1 month away! NEW for the summer of 2026, participating children will need to have parents or guardians register the child before a child can attend. The registration process will be open between June 1st and June 29th.
Registration forms are available at the City of Auburn website at this address:
AuburnNY.gov/SummerRec

Registration forms may be also be picked up and dropped off at City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, NY 13021. Please drop forms off at the Recreation Office in the basement level or the City Clerk’s Office on the first floor.

❄️ Casey Park Public Skating Update for Jan. 23, 24 & 25, 2026 ❄️

Due to a rescheduled varsity hockey game, there will be no public skating Friday, January 23rd.

The only public skating this weekend will be Saturday, January 24th 3-6pm.

Public skating also canceled on Sunday, January 25th due to the winter storm.

Holiday Parade will be held on Sat. November 29, 2025 beginning at 3:30pm.
NEW Parade Route (Holiday Parade route will now follow the traditional Memorial Day Parade Route) The parade starts at the intersection of E. Genesee St. and Fulton St. and will proceed west down to Genesee St. through the middle of downtown and ending on Genesee St. in front of the Boyle Center and Metcalf Plaza. Parade participants will continue marching west to end in the area by the County Office Building.
NEW Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held at the State Street Event Plaza, 1 State Street with activities between 4:30 - 5:30 pm. Santa and Mrs. Claus will join the Mayor to light the 2025 Holiday Tree at 5:00 - 5:15 pm. Stop by the Summer Recreation Table and check out the movie Rudolph being projected on the north wall. AT Walley will be collecting food donations for CAP Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca.
Auburn Downtown BID will be sponsoring the Holiday Parade Float competition and prizes will be announced at the Tree Lighting Ceremony on State Street.
