Tonight Lt. Sonnier along with other members and apparatus from Shawnee county left as a wild land task force to assist with the on going fires in west and south west Kansas. We hope they have safe travels and an even safer return.

With that being said conditions are favorable for rapid fire spread and growth. Please use caution and ensure all fires that are started are fully extinguished and follow red flag warnings when issued.
