Congratulations to Aubrey Police Department’s very own Assistant Chief Jeremy Johnson on completing the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) Leadership Command College, Class 106!

This premier executive development class is one of the most comprehensive law enforcement leadership programs in the nation, covering leadership, organizational management, modern policing challenges, executive wellness, and advanced law enforcement administration.

Class 106 brought together 26 law enforcement professionals from agencies across Texas, representing an incredible collective of 516 years of combined law enforcement experience. Throughout the program, participants challenged ideas, shared experiences, built lasting relationships, and continued developing the skills needed to lead in an ever-changing profession.

Completing LCC takes dedication, discipline, and sacrifice—both professionally and personally. We are proud to recognize Assistant Chief Johnson for this significant achievement and his continued commitment to becoming a stronger leader for the Aubrey community.

Congratulations, Assistant Chief Johnson! 👏

Last night, members of the Aubrey Police Department spread out across the communities we serve for National Night Out — a night dedicated to building connections between law enforcement and the people we’re proud to serve.

From handing out Junior Officer stickers to letting the little ones take a turn on the siren buttons, it was a fun (and occasionally loud) evening.

Our officers loved getting the chance to interact with our neighbors outside of a call, and we’re grateful to everyone who took a few minutes to stop by, say hello, and spend some time with us!

Next Tuesday, come out and meet the officers who serve your neighborhood every day. Stop by to chat with our officers, check out our patrol vehicles, and give the kids a chance to see the lights and sirens up close!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱/𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲

On September 25, 2026, at 2:47 a.m., the Aubrey Police Department was dispatched to a missing person call in the 200 block of E. North Street in Aubrey, Texas.

Information obtained revealed that a 27-year-old female who had been diagnosed with a “mild intellectual disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder, with significant limitations in adaptive functioning” was seen leaving the residence through a camera on the front door at 2:16 a.m. Further information revealed that the female may not have felt safe.

Investigators began interviewing witnesses and determined that the female may have left with a known subject who was described to be the female’s “boyfriend”. Investigators were able to locate a phone number for the “boyfriend” and began attempting to obtain the location of the phone. Additionally, the interviews revealed that they may be traveling in a white SUV. Investigators accessed Aubrey’s Flock camera database on specific cameras that the vehicle may have passed. Investigators were able to locate a white SUV matching the description and time of incident on one of the cameras. The vehicle came back registered to a leasing company. Investigators were able to confirm the vehicle had been leased by the “boyfriend”.

A statewide endangered missing alert was issued through the Texas Department of Public Safety Fusion Center.

At 10:19 a.m., the Aubrey Police Department was notified that the vehicle had been located in Lampasas, Texas in a motel parking lot. The endangered missing person was also located. Her family has been notified.
