🚧 ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE 🚧

The railroad crossing on Highway 77 at 3rd St SW (Highway 11) in Attalla will be closed for repairs beginning at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

The crossing will remain closed until repairs are complete. While the work is expected to take about one day, the timeline is weather-dependent and subject to change.

Please use an alternate route, expect delays, and use caution in the area.

This female black Lab was found in the 100 block of John Ave SE. If you are the owner or know who the owner is, please call Attalla Police Dispatch at 256-538-7837.

The dog will remain at the Attalla Police Department through the weekend. If it is not claimed, it will be taken to the Humane Society.

This dog was picked up in the area of Morgan Drive / Calhoun Street. It has been taken to the Humane Society.

Call Attalla Animal Control for information.

This dog was found in the Camp Sibert area (Tallapoosa Street and Wood Ave). He will be at Attalla Police Department until Tuesday and then will be taken to the humane society.
