🚒📚 Trucktacular was a success! 🚚✨

Today, the Atoka Fire Department had a great time participating in the 2nd Annual Trucktacular presented by the Munford Memorial Library! Families had the chance to get up close with Truck 11, meet our firefighters, explore emergency equipment, and learn more about what we do to serve our community.

There’s nothing better than seeing kids’ faces light up when they climb aboard a fire truck and sound the siren! Thank you to everyone who came out to make this event such a fun day.

We loved being part of it and look forward to seeing everyone again next year! ❤️🚒

Sketchbook trend? Yeah… we made it first responder style.
Featuring:
🐾 Sparky the Dog being everyone’s favorite firefighter
🚒 Truck 11 & Engine 13 looking legendary
🚂 Tiny fire trains because… Atoka
🧯 Tools, hoses, radios, and organized chaos
❤️ And the reminder that matters most: Everyone Goes Home.

Honestly, this looks like what would happen if a firefighter’s notebook, a toy box, and a caffeine-fueled station doodle session all collided.

🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today, the Atoka Fire Department joins communities across the nation in remembering and honoring the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country.

Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to serve our community with the freedoms we hold dear each day. We are forever grateful for their courage, dedication, and selfless commitment to others.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we encourage everyone to take a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and the loved ones they left behind.

From all of us at the Atoka Fire Department, thank you. We we will never forget those that gave their life for our country. ❤️🤍💙🔥

The Atoka Fire Department was excited to participate in the annual Water Day for the SPED class at Atoka Elementary School! Captain Stroud and the C-Shift crew brought out Truck 11, raised the ladder, and turned the school yard into the ultimate splash zone for the students to run through. 🚒💦

Not only was it a fun day for the kids, but it also gave some of our newer personnel a great opportunity for driver training and hands-on experience. Safe to say everyone had a blast… and everyone definitely got wet!

Thank you to Atoka Elementary for letting us be part of such a fun tradition!

🔥🏠 Today wraps up Home Fire Sprinkler Week 🏠🔥

As we close out the week, we want to remind everyone that home fire sprinklers don’t just protect the people inside a home , they help protect the entire community.

By helping control fires early, sprinklers can reduce smoke, toxic fumes, and dangerous fire growth while giving firefighters a safer environment to work in. They also help reduce strain on emergency resources, allowing departments to continue serving the community effectively.

If you plan to build or buy a home, ask about fire sprinklers.

🌎🏠 Home Fire Sprinklers Are Smart AND Green 🏠🌎
As we continue recognizing Home Fire Sprinkler Week, it’s important to remember that home fire sprinklers don’t just save lives, but they also help protect the environment.
Because sprinklers act quickly and only activate near the fire, they can dramatically reduce water usage, smoke damage, and harmful pollutants compared to a large fire response. In many cases, a sprinkler-controlled fire uses far less water than a traditional fire hose operation.
Fast action means smaller fires, less damage, and safer homes for families and firefighters alike. Learn more at HomeFireSprinkler.org

Training alongside surrounding agencies helps strengthen teamwork, communication, and coordination before real emergencies happen. We’re proud of our firefighters for continuing to sharpen their skills and prepare for situations where every second counts.

🚒🏠 Living with Sprinklers Is Easy 🏠🚒
Day 3 of Home Fire Sprinkler Week: Home fire sprinklers are a simple but powerful layer of protection for your family, pets, and property. Contrary to what many people think, sprinklers only activate in the area where the fire occurs, helping control flames quickly and giving families valuable time to escape safely.
They work automatically, require very little maintenance, and can make a major difference during a home fire emergency.
