Something “NEW” is rolling through our halls, and our teachers are LOVING it!!! Meet our Teacher Snack Cart aka “THE GREEN MACHINE” serving up beats, sweets, and BIG smiles! Like our school, “The Green Machine” has lots of hidden treasure tucked in each area of the cart.

🦅🌟Parents, what are your students getting at ECMS? Your students are getting a HIGH quality education from some of “THE BEST” teachers!!! And, how do we know this to be true? Because, we are in our classrooms! 🦅🌟

🌙🔥This past week, we observed one of the BEST lessons in Mrs. Kast’s 6️⃣th Grade Science Class!!! The students were learning all about the 8️⃣ Phases of the Moon, and how the moon changes throughout its cycle. We LOVE walking into classrooms and seeing our students engaged and EXCITED about what they are learning! And, guess what? This was only Part 1 of Mrs. Kast’s lesson. 🌙🔥

This upcoming week, Mrs. Kast has planned for her scientists to experience the Phases of the Moon in the most DELICIOUS way! At ECMS, we are committed to making learning FUN, meaningful, and memorable. Thank you, Mrs. Kast, for planning this AMAZING lesson, and we can’t wait to see our Eagles experience Part 2. 🦅✨Our Guidance Counselor is the BEST!!! 🦅✨

This week, we had the pleasure of seeing our “PHENOMENAL” Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Murray, in action as she conducted her weekly lessons in our 6️⃣th and 7️⃣th grade classes. From setting goals and making positive choices to discovering new opportunities and being knowledgeable of the opportunities available to them at ECMS. Mrs. Murray helped our students to understand what it means to SOAR this school year!

📖✏️Lots of learning was going on in Ms. Hobbs’ 6️⃣th Grade ELA Class this week!!! We observed Ms. Hobbs doing an AWESOME job modeling and scaffolding her students’ learning through the “I Do, We Do, You Do” model as students focused on the theme of the text. The students also worked very hard to effectively annotate and analyze the text. Great job, Eagles!!! A special “thank you” to Ms. Hobbs for always planning intentional lessons where our students feel confident to think and share and add-on to the ideas and learning of others. THIS is what meaningful learning looks like!!! 📖✏️

💛🦅💚Drugs Kill DREAMS! ECMS has partnered with The Drug Education Council to continue to build bridges and not walls for our EAGLES! Drugs and va**ng WILL NOT destroy our Eagles’ futures! Their dreams are worth protecting, and their futures are worth fighting for! Together, we will keep our Eagles safe and SOARING!!! 💛🦅💚

Careers may not begin with us, but the “MIDDLE” definitely matters!!! Today was truly special! A HUGE “THANK YOU” to Mrs. Raines, our district Career Coach, for working with our 8️⃣th graders today on setting career goals because every dream deserves a PLAN! The students were challenged to dream BIG about tomorrow.
