APERI Training Classes

The Alabama Pipeline Emergency Response Initiative (APERI) is a joint effort between the Alabama Fire College and pipeline operators such as South Alabama Gas.

This course provides essential training on identifying potential issues involving natural gas pipelines and responding safely and effectively during pipeline emergencies.

The class is open to all first responders, including firefighters, law enforcement, EMS, emergency management personnel, city employees, forestry personnel, and others.

All attendees will receive an Alabama Fire College “Non-Cert” certificate for HAZMAT continuing education training.

Please refer to the flyer for class dates, times, and locations within our service area. We encourage everyone to attend and help improve pipeline safety in our communities.

A hugh thank you to Friendship VFD for allowing us to use their reserve pumper while our truck was in the shop for 6 weeks. Their generous offer allowed Nokomis VFD to maintain coverage for our distrist and northwest Escambia Florida residents.

Maintenance is a large expense given our primary response truck is now 16 years old. We need your finanical help to keep this department strong. Please consider a $200 contribution which will cover the cost of one fuel fill up. Your contribution is tax deductable. Thanks.
