The Greenwood Township Memorial Day parade will take place on Monday May 25th at noon. The parade will proceed south on Main St to Church Road and end at the Geneva Cemetery. A service will follow at the cemetery. There will also be a picnic at Faith Geneva Church following the service. All events are free and open to the public.

Reminder: Vitro/Air Products Meeting is Tonight! Please share!

Greenwood Township Residents:

Vitro and Air Products will be hosting a community forum on Wednesday , May 20th at 6:00 PM at Greenwood Vol. Fire and Rescue, 16279 State Hwy 285, Conneaut Lake.

The meeting will address the ongoing noise issues in Greenwood Township, the proposed plan of action to mitigate the noise, and the anticipated timeline for the project. Residents will also have the opportunity to address representatives from Vitro and Air Products directly with questions or concerns.

All residents are encouraged to attend.

The Greenwood Township Office will be closed on Thursday May 14th, 2026. The office is expected to reopen on Tuesday May 19th, 2026.

The Greenwood Township Supervisors would like to inform residents that an agreement has been negotiated with Vitro to provide noise relief during several upcoming holiday weekends.

Vitro has agreed to shut down the oxygen plant during the following holidays from 7:00 PM on Friday until 7:00 AM on Monday:

• Memorial Day Weekend
• Fourth of July Weekend
• Labor Day Weekend

The Township has also requested an extension of the Memorial Day shutdown until 7:00 PM on Monday, but we have not yet received a response.

In addition, Vitro has agreed to shut down the oxygen plant on Mother’s Day Weekend and Father’s Day Weekend from 7:00 PM on Saturday until 7:00 AM on Monday.

While we understand this is not a permanent solution, we hope these shutdown periods will provide residents with some much-needed relief from the noise and allow families to better enjoy their upcoming holidays.

The Greenwood Township Supervisors remain committed to continuing discussions and pursuing long-term solutions regarding the noise concerns within the township.
