New place, New cover Picture, Same Values! I had a great chat with Dan Haynes yesterday about continued Family Fun Days and it's a hit! His next Family Fun Night is July 21st from 6:30 to 8:30. Skating, laser tag and bounce house for the low price of $8. Really a good deal for the family. Please clink the link on this page or check the Y page for details on family rates. Please note: NO ROLLER BLADES ALLOWED. They are just too damaging on the floor.
Also, we talked about hiring help to run the rink side of the night. Very exciting to announce that Dan has a great deal for the right person(s). If you come to agreement with Dan of being the "Rink Leader" he has Y membership and $50 per night! A REALLY good deal for the right person. Just remember this is a Y employee position and in essence, you would be ME (if you can handle it :). Dan (and I) would rely on this person to get things set up, run the floor, gather up their teen helpers and drive the show. If you enjoy skating, that's all pretty easy.
We also will need volunteers for this coming night and future nights. Handing out and putting skates away and helping on the floor with young skaters was about all it took. You can IM me with your contact info and I'll add you to the list to get in early/free. You can also IM me if you are interested in Dan's offer or just stop in and fill and app at the YMCA. Some of my "season skaters" might fit this pretty easy. If you miss seeing kids smile and laugh, this is your ticket!
