Atlantic Highlands Republican Club

10/04/2026

Atlantic Highlands is a community we both care deeply about.

As candidates for Borough Council, Blaise Piazza and Brian Boms are focusing on issues that affect our community every day: fiscal responsibility, public safety, thoughtful growth, smart development, supporting our residents, and preserving the coastal character that makes Atlantic Highlands such a special place.

Our campaign theme, “Putting Balance on the Dais,” reflects the approach we are bringing to this election—experience, integrity, common sense, and a commitment to putting the community first.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll continue sharing more about ourselves, our experience, and our thoughts on the issues facing Atlantic Highlands.

25 Years Later — We Remember.

On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a day of unimaginable tragedy. Nearly 3,000 lives were lost, families were forever changed, and countless Americans were called upon to help in whatever way they could.

Here in Atlantic Highlands, our community answered that call.

As ferries arrived in our harbor carrying people home from New York City, residents, firefighters, EMS personnel, and volunteers came together to help. Rides home were offered. Food and drinks were handed out. Comfort was given to people who had just experienced something none of us could fully comprehend.

Nobody asked what political party you belonged to. Nobody cared which side of the aisle you were on.

We were neighbors. We were a community. We were Americans.

Twenty-five years later, perhaps that is something worth remembering too.

Today, the Atlantic Highlands Republican Club remembers those who never made it home, the families who have carried their loss for 25 years, and the first responders, volunteers, service members, workers, and ordinary Americans who stepped forward when our nation needed them most.

May we never forget their courage, their sacrifice, or the way Americans came together in the days that followed.

Remember the fallen. Honor the heroes. Never forget. 🇺🇸

Today marks the 82nd anniversary anniversary of D-Day.

The world will forever remember those brave men who stormed the beaches of Normandy to defeat tyranny and preserve freedom. God bless those who perished that day, and those who lived on to keep the flame of liberty burning brightly.

“Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices.”- Harry S Truman

This seemed fitting to share and remind folks that while you're enjoying your three-day weekend, it's important to take at least a few minutes to reflect on what Memorial Day is all about (in other words, this holiday was definitely not created for blow-out sales and barbecues). Whatever your thoughts on America's political system may be, there's no denying the magnitude of the sacrifices our fallen soldiers have made while fighting for our country.
