🖤✨ The City of Atlantic City will be celebrating historic Black Legacy with two special events this Thursday!

At 11:00 AM at Missouri Avenue and the Boardwalk, a New Jersey Black Heritage Trail marker commemorating the historic significance of Chicken Bone Beach will be unveiled ⛱️🪧 New Jersey Historical Commission - NJHC Chicken Bone Beach Historical Foundation Inc.

Immediately following that ceremony, the city will launch the Black Cultural Heritage Tour, an interactive experience that highlights the people, places, and stories that helped shape Atlantic City 📖 🏛️ 🎶

🎢☀️ Steel Pier Days are back for Atlantic City residents!

Throughout the summer, Atlantic City Councilmembers host special Steel Pier Days, giving residents in their wards the opportunity to enjoy the amusement park free of admission 🎡🎠

🕑 Steel Pier Days take place from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the select dates

📍 Proof of Atlantic City residency is required, and all children MUST be accompanied by an adult

🌟 Days hosted by Council-At-Large members are open to ALL Atlantic City residents.

Whether you're looking to clear out your garage, earn some extra cash, or spend the day treasure hunting, the Mayor's Office of Special Events' Citywide Community Yard Sale is the place to be on Saturday, July 25 from 9AM to 2PM.

Atlantic City residents can sign up to sell items from their own property or reserve a vendor space outside City Hall, where shoppers will enjoy food vendors, music, and a lively community atmosphere throughout the day 🛍️🎶🍔

⚽🌎 A once-in-a-lifetime experience!!

This afternoon, Mayor Small and AC Rec sent off six Atlantic City youth (with two chaperones) to MetLife Stadium to attend the World Cup match between Norway and Senegal thanks to tickets provided by Governor Mikie Sherrill.

Selected with assistance from the Atlantic City Board of Education, these young soccer fans will have the opportunity to witness the world's game on its biggest stage.

🎓👏 Congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 Mayor Marty Small, Sr. Scholarship!

Today at Atlantic City High School, Mayor Small and the scholarship committee announced the graduating high school senior recipients. In total, 58 scholarships worth up to $10,000 each are going to Atlantic City residents pursuing college, master's, doctorate, and trade school opportunities.

💰 More than $580,000 was made available this year through American Rescue Plan and CDBG funding.

📚 Since the program began four years ago, the Small Administration has committed more than $3.5 million to helping Atlantic City residents pursue their educational goals and build brighter futures.

Congratulations again to all of this year’s recipients, and best of luck as you take the next step in your educational journey 🎉🎓✨

🎉 From cookouts and community gatherings to educational programs and cultural celebrations, Juneteenth was celebrated throughout Atlantic City all weekend long!

And it all kicked off with a beautiful Juneteenth Flag Raising Ceremony at City Hall, organized by the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, bringing residents together to honor freedom, reflect on our nation’s history, and celebrate the strength and resilience of the African American community ❤️🖤💚
