A few weeks ago on the 5th of March a few of our Vessel Examiners conducted 24 Vessel Safety Checks for the North Carolina Marine Fisheries in Morehead City.

Bravo Zulu to Auxiliarists Sue Hamann, Don Cremer and Jeff Perkins for their hard work!

Getting a Vessel Safety Check is a good way to make sure you have all safety equipment and other required equipment aboard your vessel in case of an emergency.
It also lets U.S Coast Guard, Harbor Patrol, Sheriff & Police and other boating Law Enforcement Agencies know that your vessel was in full compliance with all State and Federal boating laws during a safety check for the year, best part is its 100% Free!!

Message us if you would like to schedule a Vessel Safety Check

THAT’S WHAT WE’RE TALKIN’ ABOUT!!!
Wearing a PFD is always a gold-medal-winning decision in our book.

Make sure you have a life jacket that’s properly fitted, properly fastened, and Coast Guard-approved any time you’re in or on the water.

Is it necessary when you’re on 2 inches of *frozen* water? Well… debatable. Most of you would probably say no. We would probably say yes. (Honestly, you can never really be TOO safe.)

Remember this: About 90% of people who drown weren’t wearing a life jacket.

And remember this: Everyone cheers for water safety. (Well, we do, anyway.)

Boating safety always wins!

The Olympics remind us that champions aren’t made by chance — they’re made by preparation, discipline, and smart decisions.

When it comes to boating safety, the podium looks like this:

🥇 Gold: Wear It – Life jackets save lives. Every trip. Every time.
🥈 Silver: Get Your Vessel Safety Check – A free safety check can help ensure your boat meets federal and state requirements before you hit the water.
🥉 Bronze: Learn It – Boating education builds confident, capable boaters.

Make the winning choice before you leave the dock.

Because on the water, everyone deserves a gold-medal outcome. 🌊🚤
