Update: Multi Agency Response to possible tornado touchdown at Sun and Surf Beach Club earlier.

AB Rescue units were called in to assist the Inwood Fire Department at 18:50 hours. Calls were being received for a collapse and possible fires following a severe wind event.

Several departments from throughout Nassau County were dispatched following the technical rescue response matrix. Crews were utilized to cut through debris and search voids caused by the storm. Club members were present at the time and luckily only one minor injury is reported.

Inwood FD Chief Josiyah Green provided a press release and the scene has been turned over to NCPD and the NC Office of Emergency Management.

The Village of Atlantic Beach OEM reports that there has not been any damage found in the village. The property where the storm touched down is outside village boundaries however our OEM has resources on the ground to assist.

The National Weather Service will confirm later on today if this was in fact a confirmed tornado. However there is extensive damage and the clubs are closed until further notice.
