This was filmed before the news broke, but we think it’s important to mention how insanely impactful Tim Curry was.

He changed the lives of so many people by originating the role of Dr. Frank N Furter, and we know for a fact that we aren’t the only ones he’s inspired.
Tim created a space where people could celebrate being different, which was much more hard to come by when The Rocky Horror Picture Show debuted.
Rocky Horror was only one of the many impactful projects he did, but we are insanely grateful that shadowcasts like us get to be part of even a tiny bit of his legacy.

Rest in Peace, Tim Curry. You’ll be greatly missed ❤️

Tim Curry’s impact on culture and the lives of those inspired by him cannot be overstated, and the news of his passing is deeply saddening for us here at LDOD. He changed the lives of so many people by originating the role of Dr. Frank N Furter in the 1975 movie (as well as in the stage musical), and we know for a fact that we aren’t the only people who he has a very special place in the hearts of. Tim played a character that gave so many people community in a time where toleration of difference was hard to come by, let alone a loud celebration of it. He’s become a hero and an icon in the LGBTQ+ community, and one we’re so grateful to have. The Rocky Horror Picture Show is only a small fraction of the mark Tim Curry made on the world, but we’re so honored we get to be part of his legacy in any way at all.

We will be performing as usual this Friday, and continue to celebrate this crazy movie and the amazing impact it has had. It’s probably going to feel different after this news, but we’d love for you to join us if you want to.

Rest in Peace Tim, you will be greatly missed. ❤️
