Families are invited to make some noise at the Marietta History Center’s Music of Marietta Pop-In for Family Fun on Saturday, September 19th. Held on the 3rd Saturday of every month, Pop-Ins offer an exciting opportunity for children and their families to engage with the museum through themed crafts and activities.

Families will engage with an instrument “petting zoo,” live music in the galleries, and other lyrical and rhythm-based crafts and interactive activities.

Join the Kiwanis Club of Marietta (GA) in commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and honoring the 2,977 lives lost.

The 9/11 Field of Flags Memorial Service begins at 7:55 AM at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park with a bagpipe and drum processional. The ceremony will include the Marietta Fire Department Honor Guard, a riderless horse, memorial bells marking the four flights, a 21-gun salute, and the reading of the names of all 2,977 victims.

The public is invited to attend this solemn remembrance as Marietta joins communities across the nation in honoring the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and reflecting on the significance of that day 25 years later.

Hear the historic bell ring at Marietta Square on Thursday 3:30 PM, September 17, for the annual U.S. Constitution Day celebration. Community leaders will take part as Marietta joins a nationwide bell-ringing tradition commemorating the signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.

Free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome!

Marietta Parks, Recreation & Facilities is excited to announce the return of the Brown Bag Lunchtime Concert Series this September. The month-long concert series kicks off on Thursday, September 3, at 12:00 p.m. with a performance by Charlie Hairston on the Glover Park stage.
