SMDWC's General Body Meeting met at the Sandtown Pub on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 6:30 PM. Madam K. McCarty presided and shared valuable information on plans to ignite the "get out to vote" initiatives, along with the Voter Education team. Members, please be available to support the Voter Education with registering, canvassing, and phone banking.
We are excited that Attorney Fatima Harris Felton became a member last evening.We look forward to her sharing her gifts and talents.

What a great day in the neighborhood at the Atlanta Food Bank in East Point, Ga!!
The South Metro Democratic Women's Council hosted the Georgia Federation of Democratic Women Quarterly Meeting.
Kudos to President Chandra Wright of GFDW and President Katina McCarty for their great leadership and vision in organizing this event.
SMDWC did an extraordinary job with planning and ex*****on! We are particularly gratetful for all the members who contributed to ensure this conference to be a success!!

The South Metro Democratic Women's Council held a successful General Body Meeting and Membership Drive at Tracey Wyatt Recreation Center, with over 20 attendees. We are pleased to welcome our new members: Taylor Thompson, Pamela Stoner Gay, Ola Harper, and returning member Angela Harris. Throughout the year, the SMDWC will be actively engaged in voter education and other initiatives. As TI would say, "Let them know"!!
