🍎 Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Lees

Not every impact shows up in a grade.

Sometimes it’s the small things during the day that make a difference.

A student shared how much they appreciated the workout and brain break videos Ms. Lees brings into class—those moments to reset, move, and come back ready.

“I really loved them.”

That kind of care doesn’t go unnoticed.

Thank you, Ms. Lees, for creating space for students to recharge

Some students just set the tone in a class.

Gracie is one of them.

She stays engaged, does strong work, and takes time to encourage the people around her. It’s the kind of presence that helps a class run better without needing attention.

Her teacher shared that she demonstrates what it means to be a GCA Champion through her effort, achievement, and the way she supports others.

That combination stands out.

Nice work, Gracie 👏

🍎 Teacher Spotlight: Ms. Power

Some teachers know how to turn a regular class into something students actually look forward to.

That’s Ms. Power.

A student shared how math and science feel fun, exciting, and easy to stay engaged in. Not just learning more, but enjoying the process along the way.

“She is a very, very, very terrific teacher!!!”

Hard to argue with that.

Thank you, Ms. Power, for the way you bring class to life

🌟 Champion Spotlight: Lauren

Lauren has been on a roll… and it shows.

She recently won the Social Studies Fair at the SGB level, then took that same project, turned it into an essay, and went on to win a statewide competition through the Sons of the American Revolution.

That doesn’t happen by accident.

It takes focus, effort, and the willingness to keep pushing something further.

On top of that, she stays active in class and takes time to encourage the people around her.

That kind of consistency and drive stands out.

We’re proud of you, Lauren 👏

Some students raise the level of a class just by the way they approach it.

Alejandro is one of them.

He’s consistently engaged in live sessions, contributes to discussions in a meaningful way, and handles his work with care and follow-through. But what stands out most is the example he sets.

The way he shows up has an impact on the people around him.

That kind of influence matters.

We’re proud of you, Alejandro 👏

Switching to virtual learning can feel like a big step.

For one family, it started with nerves.

But then came Ms. Blanchard.

A parent shared how she made the transition feel smooth, welcoming, and inclusive from the very beginning, helping their student feel comfortable and supported.

And over time?

Those nerves turned into growth.

Real progress.
More confidence.
A year that made a difference.

“We have been blessed to have her this year.”

That says it all.

Thank you, Ms. Blanchard, for the impact you’re making.

👇 What helped your transition the most when trying something new?
