Atlanta Fire Station #16 Atlanta Fire Company 16 Atlanta Fire Station 16 has a proud heritage and a long history of service to the people of Northwest Atlanta. Boone Blvd.

The current Station was opened on April 1, 1963 to replace the old Station at 824 Marietta Street. Upon opening, the Station served as the home of the First 16 African-American Firefighters during a time when the fire stations were not yet integrated. The Station sits on a beautiful Lot situated at the corner of Joseph E. and Flowers Place. This is the former site of a mansion once owned by Theodore "Tiger" flowers, The first African-American Middleweight Boxing Champion of the world.
