📚💙 What an incredible honor!

A very special thank you to Lt. Governor Burt Jones for recognizing Team DDS and our major accomplishment in this year’s Lt. Governor’s Book Drive for Literacy!

Team DDS collected an amazing 10,749 books, a milestone made possible by the generosity, dedication and teamwork of so many people across our agency and throughout our communities.

To every DDS employee who donated, collected, organized and encouraged others to participate: THANK YOU! And to the libraries, thrift stores, community partners and countless individuals who donated books to help us reach this incredible goal, we are so grateful for your support.❤️

Together, we are not just collecting books...we are helping put stories, knowledge and new possibilities into the hands of Georgia’s readers. That's always something to be excited about.

Thank you to our Lt. Governor, our Commissioner Angelique McClendon and to everyone who helped make 10,749 books possible! 💙

🚨📚 TEAM DDS DID IT AGAIN—AND THEN SOME! 📚🚨

Last year, Team DDS collected approximately 4,100 books for the Lt. Governor’s Book Drive for Literacy.

This year? We DOUBLED DOWN and collected an incredible 10,749 BOOKS! 🎉🙌

And the teamwork was incredible! Four districts collected more than 2,000 books each, with District 3 taking the top spot at 2,535 books! 🏆

This accomplishment was made possible by employees across DDS thinking creatively, partnering with thrift stores and libraries, and rallying their districts behind an important cause.

We are incredibly proud of the generosity, dedication and teamwork demonstrated by Team DDS! 💙

🚛 Give trucks the space they need to keep everyone safe.
Commercial vehicles can't stop as quickly as passenger vehicles, and cutting in front of a semi can leave the driver with little time or distance to react.
When sharing the road, be patient, leave plenty of following distance, and never cut off a commercial driver. A little extra space can make a big difference for everyone on the road.
Safe driving starts with looking out for one another.
