Wednesday, my Chief of Staff, Demetrius McCoy, had the honor of presenting a proclamation on my behalf recognizing Principal Brandy Martino of Woodridge Elementary School, located right here in District 5, for being named Area 4 Principal of the Year!

Congratulations, Principal Martino, on this well-deserved recognition! Thank you for your dedication to our students, teachers, and school community. We are proud to celebrate your leadership and commitment to education!

Join us this Saturday, October 17, at Victory for the World Church and Fairfield Baptist Church for our FREE FOOD DISTRIBUTIONS!

Hank and I attended the welcome reception for MARTA’s newly appointed CEO, Jonathan Hunt, this afternoon.

We had a great time connecting with community leaders and celebrating this new chapter of leadership at MARTA. We look forward to continued collaboration as we work to strengthen public transportation and better serve the residents of DeKalb County and the metro Atlanta region.

Last week, the 55th Annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Legislative Conference brought together policy leaders, elected officials, community leaders, and advocates from across the country.

This year’s theme, “Rooted, Ready & Rising,” was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come and the opportunities ahead as we continue moving our communities forward.

It was a great week filled with meaningful conversations, connections, and fellowship. Looking forward to continuing the work of moving our communities forward!
