As we have for the past two summers, The Howard School will be offering Orton-Gillingham (O-G) training at the end of July. The trainings are run by Christi Kubeck, Lower School Literacy Specialist and O-G Fellow-In-Training.

𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 (𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟒 - 𝟐𝟖): Participants will receive intense instruction on reading development, atypical/typical brains, phonics, phonemic awareness, and effective strategies for dyslexic learners. Additionally, the course includes the effective and innovative use of technology to support the Orton-Gillingham approach.

The Howard School recently added two wonderful buildings to their LD K-12 school. The architect worked directly with the teachers and staff to build a space that suits specific needs.
