Let me tell you about these ladies. We all volunteer for Concerned Citizens of Atlanta, Inc., a nonprofit organization focusing on recreational and social activities for senior citizens. Throughout the pandemic we continued to service seniors with personal hygiene supplies, masks, and sanitizer kits in several high rises due to no in-person activities.

Last month, we sponsored Thanksgiving meals for about 230 residents catered by This Is It at Trinity Towers. Each month, we give out 30 food boxes through a partnership with the Atlanta Food Bank. Fortunately, my husband (Jackie) volunteers for the box initiative, which is greatly appreciated by all the volunteers!

Today we took a moment to fellowship with each other at Sweet Auburn BBQ on North Highland. With the constraints of COVID, we’ve followed all guidelines & no more than 2-3 of us attend a project. Hopefully, all 16 members will be able to continue our outreach in 2022 and gather as a group.
