Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Safely Recovers Child S*x Trafficking Victim Resulting in Arrest of Suspect
ATLANTA, GA — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office safely recovered a juvenile s*x trafficking victim in an investigation that also resulted in the arrest of a suspect.
On August 17, 2026, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Task Force Investigators were contacted by the Fayetteville Police Department (N.C.) requesting assistance in locating a juvenile who had been identified as a victim of s*x trafficking.
The juvenile was believed to be traveling to her mother’s residence in Georgia back in May, but never arrived. She was last seen getting into an unknown vehicle that picked her up from her residence in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Fulton County Sheriff’s Office Task Force Investigators were quickly able to identify multiple online commercial s*x advertisements involving the juvenile victim throughout the Metro Atlanta area.
Through swift investigative work, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office at Homeland Security Investigations, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Homeland Security Investigations safely recovered the missing juvenile victim in East Point. She was taken to a secured facility for care and victim services.
“Once our assistance was requested, our teams worked quickly to locate and recover this juvenile victim, ensuring she was taken to safety and given the care she needed,” Sheriff Patrick “Pat” Labat said.
An arrest was made in this case. However, it remains an ongoing criminal investigation; therefore, no additional details can be provided.
