USAA’s 103-year legacy of service is built on showing up for our members when they need us most. With the government shutdown now in effect, your Association is here to support you and help protect your financial security.
As we have done in the past, USAA will activate our Government Shutdown Program, designed to support eligible members currently employed by impacted federal agencies.
As part of the program…
• Eligible members can apply for a no-interest loan in the amount of a missed paycheck, up to $6,000.
• Members may also be eligible for other relief options, including:
• Special payment assistance programs on existing USAA Bank products, including credit cards, consumer loans and Home Equity Lines of Credit, and fee waivers for deposit accounts.
• Special payment arrangements for life, health, auto and property insurance policies.¹
More information, including eligibility requirements, is available at usaa.com/relief. In the event a funding deal is not reached in time, and a paycheck will be missed, eligible members can begin applying for this relief on Oct. 8.
For additional support, service members can also reach out to military relief or aid societies, which USAA proudly supports. Since 2016, USAA has contributed over $40 million to these organizations, helping service members and their families in times of need.
At USAA, we have always taken pride in having our members’ backs. During this shutdown, our goal is to provide you with greater peace of mind and financial security.
To our service members and federal workers continuing to serve during this time: thank you. We also extend our gratitude to the families who support you. Your service and sacrifice are recognized, valued and deeply appreciated.
Juan C. Andrade | USAA's 12th President & CEO
