Feeding Georgia a non-profit statewide association of food banks. We proudly serve 7 regional food banks who work to end hunger in their communities.

Founded in 1985, Feeding Georgia distributes over 180 million pounds of food through more than 2,000 partner agencies across Georgia each year. Its member food banks include Food Bank of Northeast Georgia, Golden Harvest Food Bank, America’s Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia, Middle Georgia Community Food Bank, Feeding the Valley Food Bank, Atlanta Community Food Bank with Georgia Mountain Food Bank, and Chattanooga Area Food Bank (Food Bank of Northwest Georgia). What happens to produce that's too small, too big, or just a little imperfect for the grocery store? In Georgia, it can go to a food bank. 🥕 Through the Georgia Farm to Food Bank program, food banks buy surplus crops from Georgia farmers. Growers recover their costs, and families get fresh food. That adds up to more than 14 million pounds every year.

Metro Atlanta — something special is coming this week! 🇺🇸

The final We CARE Vet Fair™ of the 2026 season is happening Thursday, October 22, at the Cobb County Civic Center, bringing together resources and support for Georgia’s military community — all in one place.
Veterans, current military members, military families, caregivers and survivors are invited to attend. And you don’t have to live in Metro Atlanta to participate. Local, regional and national resources will be available on-site to help connect attendees with the services and support they need.

Nourishing Tomorrow: Middle Georgia Community Food Bank's 2026 Agency Conference

Middle Georgia Community Food Bank hosted its two-day 2026 Agency Conference on October 13 and 15 in Warner Robins and Macon, bringing together community agency partners from across its 24-county service area.

The conference focused on strengthening partnerships, sharing resources, and equipping local hunger-relief organizations with tools to better serve their communities. Sessions covered succession planning, agency funding, technology and Vivery resources, food rescue opportunities, and strategies for addressing growing food insecurity.

With participation from Feeding America representatives, food bank leadership, and community partners, the event provided valuable opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and meaningful conversations about the challenges facing hunger-relief organizations.

The conference reinforced a shared commitment to building stronger agencies, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring more families across Middle Georgia have access to nutritious food.

A big congratulations to all of the students who brought their creativity, confidence and cooking skills to this year’s Georgia 4-H Pantry Pride Recipe Contest at the Georgia National Fair in Perry! 👏🍲

From prize-winning chicken chili to delicious soups and pasta dishes, contestants showed just how much is possible with ingredients found right in the pantry — including nutritious, family-friendly meals that are both practical and delicious.

Thank you to the University of Georgia Extension Office Pickens County GA for hosting this important contest and giving young people an opportunity to build valuable skills in the kitchen.

Feeding Georgia is proud to sponsor and judge the Pantry Pride Recipe Contest each year. And as for the extra pounds our judges may have picked up along the way? We’d say they were well worth it. 😉💚

Today, Feeding Georgia joined fellow nonprofit leaders at the 2026 WSB-TV Nonprofit Media Summit for a conversation about storytelling and the power of media collaboration.

Behind every hunger statistic is a person, a family and a community. Sharing those stories with care helps more Georgians understand the need and see how they can be part of the solution.
