Last month, AFRD crews were pushing their limits during hazardous materials (haz-mat) training, sharpening their skills in containment, decontamination, and emergency response.

These high-intensity drills ensure our firefighters are prepared to face the most dangerous situations — all to keep our community safe. Every second counts.

Lives and property were saved by utilizing an offensive attack strategy, coordinating vertical ventilation, hand line placement, and evacuation. Outstanding effort at saving all residents, treating those who self extricated, and keeping the fire contained.
