This week’s brick wasn’t confidence. It was composure.

There were moments this week when I wanted to quit. Moments when I questioned my path. Moments when the mountain looked bigger than my motivation.

But then I remembered something…

Brick by brick doesn’t mean every brick is laid with a smile.

Some bricks are laid while you’re frustrated.

Some are laid while you’re tired.

Some are laid while you’re actively looking for the next opportunity.

The important part isn’t how you felt.

It’s that you kept building anyway.

This week I updated my resume.

I reached out to my network.

I applied for opportunities that align with who I’m becoming.

And tomorrow, I’ll walk into work and give my best—not because every circumstance deserves it, but because my character does.

That’s another brick.

Fun fact: Bricklayers don’t build an entire wall in one day; they focus on laying each brick correctly. The strength of the finished structure depends on the consistency of the process, not the speed.

That thought has completely changed how I approach my life and my businesses.

Today isn’t about building an empire. It’s about laying another brick.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is pause, regroup, and build with intention.

A few years ago, I launched Sealed the Deal Notary Solutions because I knew I wanted to serve people in a meaningful way. Like many entrepreneurs, life, work, and other responsibilities shifted my focus, but the vision never left.

Today, I’m excited to say that I’m intentionally rebuilding.
