So many new items for you to borrow this week at the Athol Public Library:

There are three new bestsellers, seven new movies, nineteen new audiobooks, three new children's books, and 110 other new books, including 72 that are available online.

The new bestsellers this week are "Ransom," "Freeze Fresh Meal Prep: 160 Meal Starters and Make-Ahead Dishes for the Freezer," and "Birth Vibes: Stories and Strategies for an Empowered Birth." The new movies this week include "Beauty and the Beast: 25th Anniversary Edition," "John Wick: Chapter 3 [Blu-ray]," and "Luca [Blu-ray]."

Join the Athol Public Library at 568 Main Street, Athol, on Wednesday, September 30 from 5:30-7:00 pm, when we welcome the Geekgal for her panel presentation, Nefarious New England. This will be a unique storytelling with slides and Q&A with the Geekgal.

The New England States are full of weird! From Berry and Barney Hills' 1961 reported alien abduction to the haunting of the Sterling Opera House, there is a wealth of spooky tales that are known all over the northeast. In this presentation we look at some of the most famous cases from each state, and tell the tales that have entertained generations of New Englanders.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Athol Public Library, this program is free and open to the public.

Over the summer, our community has been creating paper flowers to add to our paper garden. We've collected them all together into to this lovely collaborative art project. The library staff love seeing the talent and variety of ideas our patrons have. Stop by and admire the project on display in children's room.

Want to add to our garden? You can drop off a paper flower at the children's room desk. Supplies are also available in the library.
