Happy Monday Everyone,

This is a reminder that the annual Memorial Day program will be held at the Veterans Museum (114 W. Pryor St.) this Monday, May 25th, at 11:00 AM. Music will begin at 10:30 AM.

Following the program, the Post will hold a Buddy Poppy event at The Salty Cod (309 W. Market St.). Attendees will receive a 10% discount on their food, and the Post will receive 10% of all sales of The Salty Cod Lager.

On this Memorial Day, please pause for a moment to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and their courage lives on in the hearts of a grateful nation. May we honor them not only with words, but by living with kindness, gratitude, and unity.

Please have a Happy and Safe long weekend.

We would like to honor the memory and sacrifice of four brave U.S. Army Reserve soldiers from the 103rd Sustainment Command who were killed in action on March 1, 2026, in Port Shuaiba, Kuwait, during an unmanned aircraft system (drone) attack while supporting Operation Epic Fury.
These heroes gave their lives in service to our nation:
• Capt. Cody A. Khork, 35, of Winter Haven, Florida
• Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska
• Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, 39, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota
• Sgt. Declan J. Coady, 20, of West Des Moines, Iowa (posthumously promoted from Specialist)
Their service in logistics and sustainment kept our forces supplied and supported amid conflict. As Maj. Gen. Todd Erskine, commanding general of the 79th Theater Sustainment Command, stated: “To the families and teammates of these Cactus Nation Soldiers: you have my deepest sympathy and my respect… We will remember their names, their service, and their sacrifice.”
We extend our heartfelt condolences to their families, friends, and fellow service members. Their courage and devotion will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸
Rest in peace, warriors.
