Today we are highlighting our business pre-law majors! Natalie is a business prelaw major because it combines well with accounting, and it will make her a better accountant in the long run. Micaela loves Business Pre-Law because it pairs well with accounting. Although she does not plan to go into Law, it has allowed her to become a more well-rounded professional. Alexis loves being a Business Pre-Law major because it is preparing her to take the LSAT and get into law school!

Today we are featuring one of our wonderful alumni, Hailey Stinchcomb! Hailey graduated from Ohio University in 2022 with a major in marketing and minor in retail merchandising. She also completed the one-year MBA program. While in OWIB, Hailey provided her marketing talents on the executive board as VP of Marketing. After graduation, she started her career at Big Red Rooster as a Strategic Account Coordinator. Explaining how it is both exciting and scary starting your career, she said “At first you may feel like you have no idea what you’re doing, but that’s okay because everyone is learning even people who have been in the field for years. Go after a job that inspires you and you enjoy the people around you and work hard- you will do great!!” Thank you so much Hailey, we miss you and are rooting for you, you’re killing it!!

Today we are highlighting our Finance Majors. Gabby loves working with numbers and problem solving which is why finance was a perfect route for her! Emily loves being a finance major because she is able to have so many opportunities with the skills she learns through the classes. It allows her to learn business language and material that is useful for her future. What Grace loves about Finance is how many opportunities and information she has gained, along with the relationships she has built with her professors and peers. Katie loves being in finance because she thinks that it can really help her gain skills that she can use not only for a future job but in any real world situation. Anna loves her finance major because she gets to have skills that help her in both her professional and personal life! She also loves working with numbers and understanding how to invest! Post by:

Tonight at our meeting we had the pleasure of hosting Dean Rees Ulmer! Our members got to hear about her to journey to becoming the first female Dean of the College of Business! She shared insight into the professional world, work-life balance, and the importance of diversity and leadership. It was a great evening!

This week we are highlighting Madison Rocco! She has had 3 internships. In this post we will be featuring her most recent internship. This fall she was a security intern for CSC at the Firefly Music Festival. She enjoyed her internship and it gave her more experience in festival management. She got to work on a team that controlled public and artist safety. Her favorite part of her internship was meeting some famous artists!! She meet Green Day and Zedd. Lastly, Madison will be doing her fourth internship this upcoming Spring. It will be at Nelsonville York High School as a pitching/ assistant coach for there Varsity Softball team. She’s thrilled! If you guessed Tom Marchese you would be CORRECT! Tom Marchese is an Associate Professor of Instruction in Marketing, Director of PMBA, and Associate Director of COB Honors Program. Tom has around 30 years of professional experience, working for major companies such as Elmer's, Bob Evans, Pappa Murphy's, Wendy's, and more.
