This is what progress looks like. 🪏

Active site development is now underway at North Etowah Industrial Park as crews work to create a shovel-ready industrial pad. After years of planning and preparation, this investment represents a major step forward for a site that is already Select Tennessee Certified and one of only two CSX Select Sites in Tennessee.

Visitors spent $77,272,943 in McMinn County in 2025. Money earned somewhere else and spent right here at home.

That spending generated $7,780,461 in state and local tax revenue, and kept $367 off the average McMinn County household’s tax bill.

Tourism supports 612 jobs across the county and generated $3.3 million in local tax revenue last year.

Over the past six decades, the Athens, Tenn. facility of ABB Installation Products has grown alongside the community through the support of McMinn County and nearly 300 local team members, as well as an ongoing focus on sustainability, innovation and manufacturing excellence.

ABB, made in McMinn, by the numbers:

· 20 product lines are manufactured in Athens, including ABB’s Steel City® and Superstrut® solutions used in all types of electrical installations.

· 10% of team members are celebrating 30+ years at the facility, and one employee is marking an incredible 57 years.

· 80%+ of products made in Athens carry an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).

As the future of manufacturing evolves, ABB continues to invest in its people, innovation and the community.

We welcomed 200 job seekers and 40 participating organizations, including direct employers, higher education partners, and staffing agencies—all coming together to connect our community with career opportunities!
