Hello Parents and Leaders,
There are three important events for the end of the Scouting Year. Please read this message start-to-finish and email me with any questions.
1. Money for Camp Cards and and unsold Camp Cards must be returned tomorrow. BSA requires us to account for all cards and sales.
2. The Blue and Gold Awards Dinner is NEXT Monday, May 7th. This means:
a. All award and rank requirements should be submitted tomorrow night, April 30th, if they haven't been submitted already. My sense from the leadership is that everyone is on track. Please contact me ASAP if there is a problem.
b. Tomorrow night, you will be given a metal tray for a side dish. Please decide on your side dish tomorrow night when you get your tray and inform Peter Pirkel, who will be giving out trays (Wolves and Webelos will get their trays at the venue for their hikes).
The pack will provide dinnerware, drinks, Chik-Fil-A nuggets and barbecue pork. We were short on sides at the Holiday Dinner because folks wanted to "decide later" on their sides and we ended up with too many desserts. We are trying to avoid that problem this time.
3. The Spring Trip will run from Saturday May 26th through Monday, May 28th. Reservations are made and I will send out a roster shortly. I must have medical forms and A and B for all participants (download those here: https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/HealthSafety/pdf/680-001_AB.pdf). Note that only the Tetanus immunization (within the last ten years) is required by BSA.
I must emphasize the importance of the BSA medical forms. BSA policy prevents participation in overnight events without one. The A and B forms DO NOT require doctor visits, so please complete them.
Thank You,
john chamblee, Pack Committee Chair
