The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Toyota ShareLunker Program is proud to name Brady Stanford of Millersview as the first-ever AFTCO Guide of the Year for 2025!

This new annual recognition—launched through our partnership with AFTCO—highlights a fishing guide who demonstrates exceptional commitment to conservation and the enhancement of Texas’ largemouth bass fisheries. Brady’s dedication, leadership, and stewardship make him a deserving inaugural winner.

We also want to extend a huge THANK YOU to all the incredible fishing guides across the state who help anglers catch bass and submit ShareLunker-sized fish to TPWD. Your hard work and passion make this program thrive.

And we’re just getting started—stay tuned for the announcement of our 2026 AFTCO Guide of the Year next season!

While the Toyota ShareLunker Legacy Class collections season has wrapped up, anglers catching largemouth bass 8+ pounds or 24+ inches can enter their fish information into the year-round data collection on the Toyota ShareLunker mobile app or TexasSharelunker.com

Richard Reid submitted a 8.24-pound bass to the Toyota ShareLunker program. Richard caught this fish on the Brazos River on 3/1/2026 and was awarded Bass Pro Shops Class status. He has earned a Catch Kit with lures from Strike King Lure Company a 1-month subscription to Bass University, Toyota ShareLunker branded gear, an entry into the Bass Pro Shops $5,000 shopping spree, and more.

Also remember to submit DNA samples from your ShareLunker entries for a chance to earn a Lew's reel (1 per angler, as supplies last).

Buzzer be**er bass at O.H. Ivie!
Angler Ted Taylor just landed Legacy Class ShareLunker 701 weighing in at 14.22 pounds. This makes 18 Legacy Class fish for the season and the 5th from O.H. Ivie this year.

TPWD biologists certified and collected catch and genetic information on this fish to help further evaluate and direct future stocking and management efforts. Because of Ted’s willingness to coordinate with TPWD to provide this valuable data, he will receive all prizes and accolades associated with the Legacy Class, including a fiberglass replica of his Lunker. Thank you, Ted for your contribution to bigger, better bass in Texas!

NOTE: Please continue to call in your 13+ pound Legacy Class ShareLunkers. The spawning collection season is still underway through the end of March. All eligible catches will receive all prizes and accolades associated with the Legacy Class, including a fiberglass replica of their ShareLunker.

After a successful collection season, our remaining lunker holding tanks will be reserved for fish selected at our discretion to help enhance program needs. We appreciate the strong support of our valued anglers.

For those fish not transported to TFFC, TPWD biologists will collect genetic and catch information to help further evaluate and guide future stocking and management efforts.
