Friends of Athens-Clarke County Library The Friends are citizens who choose to help their local library. They are the "caring core" of libraries across the country.

Operating with a self-elected board of directors, they serve as the connecting link between the library and the community.

At our inaugural race in 2025, we raised more than $6,000, with all proceeds going for our campaign to support the new East Side library branch. Help us to continue to support our library at this year’s race.
