As the number of families impacted by dementia continues to grow, so does the need for information, support, and connection.

Join ACCA's Dementia Resource Center and Northeast Georgia Health System for a free community conversation this Friday on dementia resources, caregiver support, and services coming to Barrow County.

You'll have the opportunity to hear from healthcare professionals, connect with local experts and community partners, ask questions, hear real caregiver experiences, and enjoy a complimentary lunch.

Right now, more of our older neighbors are waiting for Meals on Wheels, and we're working to change that.

Good food has a way of bringing people together, which is why we're so excited about our updated Community Dining program!

We've partnered with local favorites like Stricklands Restaurant, Newk's Eatery, Chibugan, La Parilla, and Em's Kitchen at Hawthorne Drugs to create new opportunities for our older neighbors to enjoy a meal, explore the local food scene, and build meaningful connections.

Initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and our new "Make a Friend" table is already helping turn shared meals into new friendships.

That’s how Robert describes Meals on Wheels. Every week, he looks forward to visits from his regular volunteers, Taylor and Perdeta. They bring a meal, but they also bring conversation, laughter, and reassurance.

Right now, more older neighbors in our community are waiting for Meals on Wheels. That means they're also waiting for the connection, companionship, and care that arrives with every delivery.
