Not every wound of military service is visible.

June is PTSD Awareness Month, we recognize the Veterans who continue to fight battles long after their service has ended. PTSD can affect anyone, and seeking support is a sign of strength.

If you or a Veteran you know needs help, support is available. Call the Veterans Crisis Line by dialing 988 and pressing 1, text 838255, or visit Veterans Crisis Line.

You do not have to face it alone.

We are set up out at Long Chevrolet Buick GMC of Athens. Come and grab lunch, look at some awesome vehicles and get some claims assistance all in one stop.

We have an exciting week coming up in preparation for Memorial Day.

On Monday, May 18th, we will be The Groves at Athens for their Military Appreciation event from 10:00 to 11:00.

On Friday, May 22nd, the office will be closed as we spend the day out in the community conducting Assisted Living and Nursing Home visits.

Then on Saturday, May 23rd, we will be Long Chevrolet Buick GMC of Athens for a cookout honoring our local veterans from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.

We look forward to spending the week serving and honoring those who have sacrificed so much for our country. Stay tuned for more updates and event details!

June 27, 2026 - McMinn County Veteran Service Office will be at 40th Annual Englewood June Days Celebrations. Pancake Breakfast 8AM - 2PM. There will be a Live Music Antique Car Show and Miss June Days Pageant. Veteran Services will be there to answer any benefits claims questions. Location: Church Street, Englewood, TN 37329

July 17, 2026 - Veteran and Families Free Fishing Day at Spring Arbor of Athens, TN 9AM - 3PM Location: 2090 W Madison Ave, Athens, TN 37303

August 1, 2026 - Veteran and Family Train Ride, Chattanooga, TN. More information will be announced soon.
