On Tuesday, Kay was invited by Piedmont to join them at the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Graduation.🎓✨

⭐️ALICE in Action⭐️

Yesterday at Athens Rotary, UWNEGA had the ability to speak about ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed). Courtney led the discussion and informed others about the financial difficulties many of the families in our region face, despite doing their best and often working multiple jobs to stay afloat.

Through an engaging simulation that demonstrated the financial challenges and surprises that come about, attendees left with a new perspective on the lives of ALICE families. Thank you Athens Rotary for giving us the stage to drive awareness and impact!

🚨Local Nonprofits🚨

This is a reminder that our Community Impact Grant Applications for 2027 are still open! We would love to support your organization and help you create change in our region. From funding basic needs to early childhood success and workforce development, these grants allow us to invest in impact and focus on making a difference.

Applications remain open until June 1st. Please reach out with any questions or support you may need during the application process!

Recent outings for UWNEGA✨

⭐️Jordan recently got to join in on celebrating Youth Leadership Barrow at the Chamber Luncheon, alongside Adult Leadership Barrow. It was great to cheer on the future of our region, while supporting them in this milestone!

⭐️ United Way of Northeast Georgia loves to be invited to the table to build stronger communities across our 12 county area. Jackson County Chamber of Commerce is bringing together leaders to do just that and we are grateful Kay was able to join!

We had the best time celebrating the grand opening of last Friday! ✨💎

This beautiful new store is officially open in 🤗 A huge thank you to Kendra Scott for hosting us and for allowing us to be part of their incredible Give Back program! Their team truly embodies what it means to sparkle inside and out, and we couldn’t be more thankful to have them in our community. ✨
