Congratulations to Mrs. Guare and the members of the Middle School Choruses on an outstanding concert tonight. Audience members were treated to amazing performances by the 6th grade chorus and the 7/8 grade chorus followed by a sing along with audience participation. A great night of music and entertainment. WOW—what an incredible night of music! Under the outstanding direction of Ms. Urbas and Mr. Cullen, our High School Band and Chorus truly rang in the holiday season with festive music that filled the room with joy, pride, and holiday spirit.

The talent, hard work, and dedication of our students were on full display, and the audience was treated to a wonderful evening of celebration through music. Congratulations to all of the students and directors on a fantastic concert!

Congratulations to Mrs. Wadsworth and the 5th Grade Chorus

We extend our sincere congratulations to Mrs. Wadsworth and the 5th Grade Chorus for their outstanding concert last evening. The students delivered a polished and engaging performance that reflected both their hard work and their commitment to musical excellence.

We commend Mrs. Wadsworth for her leadership and dedication in preparing the ensemble. The success of the concert is a testament to her guidance and the students’ collective effort.

Three Octorara students have been selected for PMEA District 12 honors ensembles after a highly competitive audition process involving more than 700 students from the region.

• Lauren Bierlein – District 12 Chorus
• Z Rossi – District 12 Chorus
• Sawyer Grocki – District 12 Concert Band and Jazz Band

Lauren and Z will perform with the District 12 Chorus on February 10 at Upper Darby High School. Sawyer will perform with the District 12 Band on February 7 at Strath Haven High School and with the District 12 Jazz Band on January 17 at Springfield High School.

Congratulations to all three students on this outstanding achievement!

This past weekend Bridget Whitfield (11th grade) and Sawyer Grocki (10th grade) represented Octorara at the PMEA District 12 Band Festival hosted at Oxford HS. The students in this festival worked with Dr. Patricia Cornett, Director of Bands at Temple University, and prepared a wonderful concert for their families, friends, teachers, and the community. All students also auditioned for the next level of festivals in the PMEA students event system. I am so happy to announce that both Bridget (clarinet) and Sawyer (baritone saxophone) qualified for PMEA Region VI Band. This band is comprised of some of the best high school musicians in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. They will be travelling to North Penn High School from March 6-8. Please congratulate Bridget and Sawyer if you have the chance.
