New! Teens can play Nintendo Switch in the Teen Room! Play up to 4 players with games like MarioKart, Just Dance, Super Smash Bros, and more! (You must have a library card in good standing to "check out" the Switch. If any components are missing after checkout, patrons will be charged for the whole set and listed guardian will be contacted.

¡Novedad! ¡Los adolescentes ya pueden jugar a la Nintendo Switch en la sala para adolescentes! ¡Juega con hasta 4 jugadores a títulos como Mario Kart, Just Dance, Super Smash Bros y muchos más! (Para «sacar en préstamo» la Switch, es necesario tener un carné de la biblioteca en regla. Si falta algún componente tras el préstamo, se cobrará al usuario el coste total del conjunto y se contactará con el tutor que figure en el registro).

Art Room at the Library is happening all summer!! Join us this Saturday for Junk Journals with Ms Keri and the Art Room team! Kids love making these personalized journals with a variety of surprising materials. These can be functional or just for fun. You decide!

The new Art Lab workshop series is drop in and free! Families welcome! Create right alongside your kids! Hope to see you there!

UPDATE: Heat Advisory now includes the coast on Sunday, June 14th.

🌡️ An Extreme Heat Warning & Heat Advisory have been issued from Sunday, June 14th through Tuesday, June 16th.

Daytime temperatures from 92°F to 100°F with overnight lows of 63°F to 67°F are expected to impact the majority of the Willamette Valley from Sunday, June 14th through Tuesday June 16th, 2026.

The Extreme Heat Warning is for the Greater Portland-Vancouver Metro, Western Columbia River Gorge, and Chehalem Mountains.

The Heat Advisory is for all locations except for the Cascades, the Greater Portland-Vancouver, and Western Columbia River Gorge.

Now is the time to prepare for hot temperatures!

🧢 Have sunscreen & light-colored, loose-fitted clothing
🥵 Avoid strenuous outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day if possible
💨 Find locations with air conditioning
⚠️ Beware of cold water shock: wear a life jacket when swimming in local rivers and lakes
