The date of the next council meeting has been changed from Monday, July 6, 2026 to Thursday, July 9, 2026. The meeting will be held at City Hall and will begin at 6:00pm.

Thursday, June 11th - beginning at 8am the water department will close 10th Street at Ruben Yancy to repair a leak. Both directions of traffic will be closed. Please plan an alternate route.

We only anticipate B & T Drive to be without water service during the repair.

Weather permitting, this Monday, June 1st, the changing of the traffic pattern around the courthouse will begin. Barrels, cones and barricades will be installed along with roadway as well as traffic markings to guide motorists through the new Counterclockwise direction.

Please be patient and cautious thru this area as we transition to the new traffic pattern.

The City of Ashville, in coordination with ALDOT, is pleased to move forward with the Downtown Revitalization Project beginning as early as Monday, May 18, 2026

As construction progresses, there will be several temporary changes to traffic circulation and parking. Over the next two weeks, traffic flow around the courthouse square will be permanently
modified to a counterclockwise pattern. In addition, all existing traffic signals in the project area will be removed as part of the transition to the new traffic configuration.
