Full Steam Ahead!

We are excited to share that Pere Marquette 1225 is back in service! After a dedicated effort from our team, the iconic steam locomotive will once again be leading our North Pole Express excursions.

As always, the Steam Railroading Institute remains committed to delivering a safe and exceptional experience for all passengers. We will continue to make every effort to power each excursion with steam, however, circumstances out of our control may cause the need to adjust motive power. This ensures we can continue providing reliable, high-quality events throughout the season. Regardless of the power, your onboard experience will remain as magical as always.

Thank you for your support, enthusiasm, and patience as we brought the 1225 back to life for another magical holiday run. We can’t wait to welcome you aboard!
